Oak Knoll Cemetery Bylaws, Rules & Regulations

Management of the Oak Knoll Cemetery Association reserves the right, at any time or times, to adopt new rules/regulations, alter, change or repeal any rule/regulation. For the better sake of the cemetery and its lot purchasers, these rules and regulations are put in place to not only keep the cemetery in good maintenance and working order, but respect those who are laid to rest here.

No temporary grave markers are allowed.

When a deed is given to a lot purchaser, you gain burial rights on that lot only. You DO NOT OWN said property and you must abide by these rules and regulations. Each deed issued by Oak Knoll Cemetery Association states, "said **Lot number(s) and section/row* for the purpose of burial subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and to the present and future rules and regulations of said Oak Knoll Cemetery Association, Inc.".

No sale or transfer of any lot or any part of any lot is allowed. Please see the secretary/president of the cemetery to discuss transfer of ownership of said lot/deed.

Shrubs or trees are not allowed to be planted in cemetery. Present shrubs are the responsibility of the lot owner or family.

Unkept or overgrown shrubs will be removed, along with any items impeding mowing or trimming of the grass, and will be destroyed.

No fences of any sort are allowed to be placed on a lot. If any fences are placed on the lot, they will be removed as it impedes proper care of the cemetery.

If you have any questions please contact William Kimmell IV, President, at 508-222-4686 or email our secretary
